South LA’s community crisis response network
A South LA Collaborative

Our Journey for Justice

CRSSLA was born in the fires of the 2020 crisis. We are a South LA crisis response network committed to resource equity and justice for our neighbors.

Built by Neighbors, For Neighbors

CRSSLA was born in March 2020 at the intersection of desperation and determination. As South LA faced the dual crises of a global pandemic and systemic neglect, a diverse network of local leaders realized that traditional relief systems were not reaching our streets.

Robert Sausedo, serving as Co-Founder Emeritus, helped anchor our initial direct action model. Today, under the leadership of Cheryl Branch as Executive Director & Network Lead, we have evolved from a reactive emergency group into a permanent infrastructure for justice-rooted community resilience.
